Gargotta has been associated with developing campaigns for Casino Royale, The DaVinci Code, and You Don't Mess with the Zohan, among others.

Weinstock called Gargotta "a master marketer who is respected and admired by filmmakers and Sony executives."

The Culver City, Calif.-based studio also said Josh Goldstine would shift from president of creative advertising to the new role of senior creative executive.
