CBS News Producer Leaving To Run PR For Tech Startup Polyvore

Jen Yuille, political producer for Katie Couric for the past three years, is "leaving CBS News and joining a Silicon Valley startup, Polyvore, a social shopping site led by Google and Yahoo veterans," reports Politico's Mike Allen. Yuille will join as head of marketing communications and public affairs, effective June 21, 2010. She joined move to CBS from MSNBC/NBC in October 2007. In this newly created position, Yuille will be responsible for the company's external and internal communications. Reporting directly to Polyvore Chief Executive Officer Sukhinder Singh Cassidy, she will also play a key role in developing and executing Polyvore's marketing and branding strategies. Yuille will begin on June 21 and will split her time between New York City and Polyvore's Silicon Valley headquarters. Yuille joins Polyvore from the CBS Evening News where she was an Emmy-nominated and award winning producer, spearheading interviews ranging from Katie Couric's award-winning series with former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin to this year's Super Bowl pre-game segment with New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees.
