The personality of Sophia—a social humanoid robot developed by Hanson Robotic—is created by a team of writers that attempt to make her sound more human and candid. And while robots can’t yet speak about anything other than what they’re trained to say, CMO Jeanne Lim says future versions might be able to help interact with humans in places such as nursing homes and hospitals.
