Walmart Is Extending Its Grocery Delivery Service to Atlanta

The retailer currently reaches about 10% of the U.S.

On-demand delivery service DoorDash is the latest last-mile partner to join forces with Walmart as the retailer seeks to bring online grocery delivery to 40 percent of the U.S. by the end of the year.

DoorDash will focus on the Atlanta metro area to start and said it will add more markets in the coming months.

“Our work with Walmart marks DoorDash’s official launch beyond restaurant delivery,” said DoorDash chief operating officer Christopher Payne in a statement.
