Bloomberg News Gets New Washington Bureau Chief in Megan Murphy

From FT to Bloomberg.

Megan Murphy, currently the Washington bureau chief for the Financial Times, is moving to Bloomberg News in the same role, as well as to serve as executive editor for U.S. government, reports Huffington Post’s Michael Calderone.

Murphy’s appointment is part of a plan to restore confidence in the Washington bureau, and allay tensions between it and the New York bureau.

In addition to Murphy, senior executive editor Marty Schenker makes the move from New York to Washington, where he’ll serve as head of global coverage of government, politics and economics.
