Condé Nast titles Self and Details might be on their last legs. According to WWD, the publisher is considering either shuttering both or merging them with similar magazines.
The talk is that of the two titles, Self is more likely to be shuttered. Apparently Self’s relatively new focus on lifestyle content instead of strictly fitness items hasn’t been a success.
If mergers happen, Self will be absorbed into Allure and Details will be folded into GQ.
A Condé spokesperson denied that anything was amiss with Self and Details.
