The timing of those New York Daily News layoffs we heard about just got moved up. According to The New York Post, the Daily News might start cutting staffers as soon as this week.
Previously it was rumored that the Daily News—which is hoping to trim about $6 million from its budget—would wait until Thanksgiving to hand out pink slips. In a time when every paycheck helps, the paper’s newsroom is not a fun place to be.
