Re/code, the tech site founded by Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher in 2014 and purchased by Vox Media last year, has named Dan Frommer its editor in chief.
Frommer is the co-founder of Silicon Alley Insider, which eventually became Business Insider. He most recently served as tech editor for Quartz.
“Dan brings our site the energy, curiosity and tech-savvy we need to succeed in digital publishing, an industry that gets more exciting — and challenging — daily,” wrote Swisher, in an announcement.
Frommer is succeeding Re/code’s founding editor, Kenneth Li.
