Eliza Borné Named Editor of Oxford American

She had been serving as interim editor since June.

OxfordAmericanFall2015Elizabeth Borné’s association with the literary quarterly Oxford American dates back a decade. As an intern, in 2006, she met her future husband there. John C. Williams, also an intern at the time, is now an assistant federal public defender in Little Rock, Ark.

Borné returned to the magazine in 2013 as associate editor, rose to managing editor a year later and has been serving as interim editor since Roger D. Hodge departed this summer for The Intercept.
