Gannett Adds VP of Branded Content

Kelly Andersen joins from WaPo.

Gannett Company has named Kelly Andersen vp of branded content. Andersen comes to the company from The Washington Post, where she served as director of WaPo’s sponsored content division WP BrandStudio.

Prior to her time at WaPo, Andersen worked as a marketing manager at SiriusXM.

“Through the great work we did together at The Washington Post, I have seen her talent on this front first hand,” said Gannett CRO Kevin Gentzel, in a statement. “Gannett continues to innovate and is uniquely positioned to showcase brand stories to our nearly 100 million monthly active users and I’m excited to see Kelly help drive us to the next level.”

Andersen’s appointment is effective Oct. 12.
