Juana Summers Joins Mashable

She'll serve as the site's first politics editor.

Mashable has hired Juana Summers as the site’s first politics editor. Summers comes to Mashable from NPR, where she most recently served as a congressional reporter on NPR’s Washington desk.

Prior to her time at NPR, Summers worked for Politico. Her work has appeared in The Washington Post, DCist.com and more.

“I’ve been involved in campaign coverage for 20 years, and I have seen how easy it is for that coverage to be dulled by monotony,” said Jim Roberts, Mashable’s executive editor and chief content officer, in an announcement.
