Layoffs at The New York Daily News have begun. Among those getting cut was Mike Lupica, the veteran sports columnist who had been with the paper for decades. Lupica also recently lost his ESPN New York radio show.
According to Politico, Lupica and the Daily News weren’t able to come to terms on a new contract, so he was let go.
Daily News sports editor Teri Thompson was also cut.
