A win for Win. Sorry.

Hughes put New Republic up for sale in early January. “After investing a great deal of time, energy, and over $20 million, I have come to the conclusion that it is time for new leadership and vision at the New Republic,” Hughes said at the time.

According to The Wall Street Journal, McCormack’s New Republic will have former Nation publisher Hamilton Fish as its publisher.

Terms of the deal between Hughes and McCormack were not disclosed.
