NY Times Names Deputy International Editor

Times vet Jodi Rudoren gets a new role.

The New York Times has named Jodi Rudoren deputy editor of its international desk. She previously served as the Times’ Jerusalem bureau chief; a role she held since 2012.

Rudoren has been with the Times since 1998. She has previously served as education editor, deputy metropolitan editor and Chicago bureau chief.

“We feel lucky to have had Jodi in Israel these years and luckier still to have her agree to share her ideas with all of you as an editor,” wrote Times foreign editor Joe Kahn and international editor Michael Slackman, in a memo.
