The first Playboy without nudes isn’t even a month old and the company is already exploring a sale.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the investment bank Moelis and Company and private equity firm Rizvi Traverse Management are advising Playboy on its options.
Who would want to acquire a brand that voluntarily eliminated the only thing people associated it with (naked ladies; we’re talking about naked ladies)?
The Journal reports “Potential buyers could include companies that would license the brand for use in consumer goods, new-media outfits or trophy buyers.”
