Roger Ailes Is Out as CEO of Fox News

It's official.

Screen Shot 2016-07-21 at 5.50.44 PMAfter days of speculation, it’s finally official: Roger Ailes is out as CEO of Fox News. Rupert Murdoch, all 85 years of him, will assume the role of chairman and CEO of Fox News and Fox Business on an interim basis.

The end of Ailes began with Gretchen Carlson’s sexual harassment lawsuit. Since that was filed about two weeks ago, more than 20 other women have come forward to accuse Ailes of harassment. In short, despite what Ailes had done for Fox News and how much money he could still make for the company, Murdoch and his sons James and Lachlan had no choice.
