Vox Media has hired The Awl co-founder Choire Sicha as director of partner platforms.
According to The Wall Street Journal, at Vox, Sicha will help the company choose which content should be published where.
“We all get news through significantly different platforms,” Sicha told the Journal. “My friends get news from Tumblr or from Yahoo, and I’ll get my news through Slack or GroupMe. We now just live in incredibly different digital universes and that creates such great opportunities to reach unique audiences through different methods.”
Sicha previously worked for Gawker.
