Adidas’s ‘Take It’ Continues Reign as Most Socially Engaging Ad

It’s time to take a look at the top 10 ads of the week by digital share of voice*, powered by iSpot.tv. iSpot.tv tracks TV ads in real-time and allows customers to monitor social actions, search activity and online video views associated with TV spots across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google, Bing, and Yahoo!

Adidas not only retained the top spot with its “Take It” ad, but expanded on its dominance by increasing its digital share of voice from 3.92% last week to 7.3% this week. While overall online views dipped to 2.4 million, social actions increased to 98,000, driving the overall increase.

Reebok, meanwhile, continued its surge up the chart, reaching number three with a 1.54% SOV driven by two million online views and over 8,ooo social actions. The rest of the list doesn’t even come close. Second finds the resurgent “Friends Furever” from Android back near the top from a dip to fifth place last week, but it held only a 2.1% SOV, mostly due to a relatively high social action of 28,ooo making up for weaker online views at 666,900.

None of the remaining seven spots broke above 1% SOV, but House of Cards gets an honorable mention with two spots in the overall top 10 supporting the third season of the Netflix original series. The second trailer held fourth position at .96% SOV with just under 560,000 views and 10,000 social actions, while the original trailer hung in at number eight with a .82% SOV stemming from over 409,000 views and just shy of 10,000 social actions.
