Former Elle.com executive editor Amina Akhtar has landed at theFashionSpot, where she will be taking over as editorial director.

Akhtar had also previously worked at Vogue as the digital editions editor and was New York magazine's fashion editor, where she helped launch its online fashion portals including The Cut.
