Google Launches YouTube Gaming on iOS, Android, Web
The YouTube Gaming platform is a destination for gamers to discover and follow games, channels and live streams.
After announcing YouTube Gaming in June 2015, Google today launches the service on iOS and Android devices, as well as the Web. The platform looks to take on Twitch as a destination for gaming content, including live streams, across a database of more than 25,000 games to start.
With YouTube Gaming, each game has its own page or hub within the app, offering users access to the game’s description, current live streams, popular related videos, let’s plays, video reviews and more (all where available).
