James Mahon has left Chattanooga, Tenn. CBS affiliate WDEF for “family and personal reasons.”
Mahon wrote on his Facebook page, “Ch12 have been an amazing crew and allowed me interview presidents and pornstars and cover Terrorist Attacks and tornadoes and everything in between, it has been an honor and privilege to be one of the only Irish men in America local tv news history and possibly some day I will return, until then good bye and go raibh mile agat.”
He started at WDEF in January 2013. Before that, he worked mainly in Ireland and the U.K. as a multimedia journalist.
