Rebecca Thomas Returns After Donating Kidney to Her Mom

Rebecca Thomas, anchor at Fox-owned KTBC in Austin, Texas, returned to the anchor desk Wednesday after taking time off for surgery. Thomas donated a kidney to her mother, whose kidney function was diminished by Lupus.

Back on the air with co-anchor Mike Warren, Thomas reported that both she and her mother are doing well. “I feel energized,” she said.

Thomas shared photos of her mother and herself after the surgery. “You would never know she was sick. She is doing better than can be expected, and I’m so happy.”
