Tina Luque has been named vp and news director of Charlotte, N.C. Fox-owned station WJZY-WMYT.
“I am very excited for Tina to join us as the leader of the WJZY newsroom,” said vp and GM Kieran Clarke. “Tina’s leadership, team building, and news brand development skills will be a tremendous asset to Fox46 as we continue to build upon our quality news product.”
Luque was let go as news director from WTKR-WGNT on her birthday in October. She has also worked as news director at WIS in Columbia, S.C., an assistant news director at WHDH in Boston, an ep at WCAU in Philadelphia and WCSC in Charleston, S.C. and a producer at WTAE in Pittsburgh.

She replaces Karen Koutsky who left WJZY in January.
