Tulsa Reporter Taking a Hike She Describes as a ‘Leap-of Faith’

By Kevin Eck

KJRH reporter Liz Bryant told viewers on her facebook page she is leaving the Tulsa, Okla. NBC affiliate to hike the Pacific Crest Trail.

While she admits it sounds like she got the idea from the movie “Wild” starring Reese Witherspoon, on her blog she says her reason is much deeper.

“I never want to look back in ten years and regret one second of my life,” writes Bryant. “Please pray for me as I hunt for a deeper meaning of humanity. I believe my entire life has truly lead up to this point.”

Bryant says she has sponsors and behind the scenes support for the hike on the 2,700 mile trail. She also promises to post about her preparation and write about the journey, because, “…this journey is not just about me. I will be writing about my entire adventure along the way so you can experience this leap-of-faith too.”

Her last day is April 8.
