Darrel Lieze-Adams, the executive news director for NBC affiliate WBBH in Fort Myers, Fla., is using social media to take shots at a competitor.
Yesterday morning, he tweeted this out:

Which only makes sense when it’s placed in context to his previous tweets. Like the one below:
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery: WINK like "Power to Saves Lives" created by NBC2 too? Talk about not liking yourself.

We asked WINK‘s news director about it. We haven’t heard back. We also tried to contact Lieze-Adams. His email says he’s out of the office.
imitation is the sincerest form of flattery: Apparently WINK likes the "Count On Us" campaign we created in 1997 for NBC2!

A couple of weeks ago, WZVN chief meteorologist John Patrick used his facebook account to question the accuracy of CBS affiliate WINK’s forecasts. Lieze-Adams is news director for both ABC affiliate WZVN and WBBH.
Lieze-Adams has also linked to Patrick’s video and tweeted it out.
Who is the most accurate in Southwest Florida forecasting?

Shakespeare here: "the crime is rarely as bad as the cover-up." Better to repent you lies than follow them through.

TVSpy has also been getting tips that WINK’s Live Doppler Radar isn’t. Which may explain the following tweets.
I am confused. Where is the LIVE Doppler Radar touted by my competitor? Exaggeration got Brian Williams fired. pic.twitter.com/ExHjXlIhle

I love TV news, journalism, the competition that drives outstanding jounalism. I hate the lies told by others to try to attract viewers.
