WTTV Announces New Anchor Teams

WTTVWTTV, the soon-to-be CBS affiliate in Indianapolis, has a slew of new anchor announcements. Starting with Debby Knox, Bob Donaldson and meteorologist Chris Wright, who will anchor the 5:00, 6:00 and 11:00 p.m. weekday newscasts.

Knox was previously an anchor at WISH, while Donaldson will continue to anchor the 10:00 p.m. weeknight newscast at FOX affiliate WXIN. Wright comes from NBC affiliate WTHR, where he was chief meteorologist.

“We listened to what local viewers told us they wanted in a news team and a newscast. The team we’ve built for WTTV will bring a high level of local knowledge and experience, as a viewer I can’t wait to see this new team on the air,” Paul Rennie, vice president and general manager, WXIN and WTTV, said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Marianne Lyles, Tim Doty and meteorologist Lindsay Riley will anchor the 5:00 a.m. and noon weekday newscasts. Lyles joins WTTV from Milwaukee ABC affiliate WISN, where she was the morning news anchor. Doty previously worked as an anchor at FOX affiliate WXMI in Grand Rapids, Mich. Riley joins from NBC-owned KXAS in Dallas, where she was a weekend morning anchor.

The new a.m. and p.m. newscasts will launch with the CBS station affiliation on January 1, 2015.
