Instagram added a Layout mode to Stories, which allows you to share multiple photos in a collage. Our guide will show you how this works.
Note: These screenshots were captured in the Instagram application on iOS.
Step 1: On the Instagram Stories camera screen, swipe from right to left on the mode names at the bottom of the screen until the word “Layout” is directly below the capture button.
Step 2: By default, you’ll be shown a layout with four different spots for photos. If you want to change to a different layout, swipe from right to left on the layout options above the capture button to preview and select a different one.
Step 3: Once you’ve decided on a layout, tap the capture button to take a photo for each position in the collage. Note: You can also tap the gallery button in the bottom-left corner of the screen to import one or more images from your device into the collage.
Step 4 (optional): If you want to delete and retake one or more pictures in the layout, tap the “x” button above the capture button to delete the last picture you captured/added.
Step 5: When you’re done taking/importing photos, tap the checkmark button to finish the layout.
From there, you can continue editing your post as normal (for instance, by adding text, stickers, etc.) before sharing it.
